Because he's more into seeing the problems and see whats going on and what he should and shouldn't do, because he thinks of the effects that might happen and he also was controling his anger and fear he had inside of him of someone finding out what happend to Mar'y body and were it was at. He was really playing Mary's family and making himself act stupid sense thats how they view black peopele. Bigger was in control of the situation

My Reaction To Mary's Murder

I think Bigger feel really afraid that he going to get killed by the white people because he killed Mary. Plus she's also white and the daughter that's it is his boss and its bothers bigger even more.Because he had feelings for her but he didn't want no one to know that he liked her and that made him hate her even more. he also was thinking sense she was white and he was black.He had to hide his feelings from her but she wasn't helping him by being all over him while she was drunk. Bigger was trying to control himself because he knew he wanted her, he wasn't trying to kill he was just trying to keep her quiet because her mama came in and he was to afraid to think straight. when she was dead he try to put her in the trunk to take her to Detroit sense she was gone be out their for a few days and all bigger was thinking was that he would get away with it that way.
